What were the most interesting ideas you discovered inDigital Nation: Waging War?
Why did these resonate with you?
I thought about what one of the recruiters said at the free videogame center, about how parents of the young gamers are just scared that the recruiting method will work, and thats the reason why they are getting upset, even though they are showing them all the violence in the game. This resonated with me because after I thought about it what the recruiter saidd, it sounded like a probable cause, but then again it is a recruiting trap.

If we are using technology in this way, would it be possible (if it isn't already) to have robot soldiers go to war instead of real men? would that increase or decrease the number of jobs that are available?
I had no clue that the military was using aircraft that the soldiers were not in, that is AMAZING!! I'm excited for the future technology, but it scares me in a way. what if Iraq can get a hold of this technology and can out-do our technology :/
I wonder what other methods the Army will use the latest technology for, in order to recruit more people every day?
I think its interesting how after a normal day at work for soldiers who fly the UAVs could just go home later that day, sometimes after killing people, on the other side of the earth.
It is very good to know that USMC Infantry is going through this rigorous of training. Prior to the virtual simulations infantrys only simulated combat experience was in the Corp's School of Infantry. But with these simulations the rifleman is able to get a realistic taste of war before deployment. This prepares them for war because it is a great tool for desensitizing them, practicing keeping a cool head to focus on the mission at hand, and builds trust within the unit. As a future Marine I find this an amazing technology and look forward to what else we can create to train our soldiers.
